The Tortoise and the Hare is a well-known folk story with many different versions. A grandmother andher grandson collide with each other over the stories that each tells, one championing the importanceof stories and the other questioning the impact stories can have. Will they ever agree?

Embark on a journey to revisit familiar tales that we grew up with, question what they mean, andexpect surprises as well as an alternate ending or two in this heartwarming theatre performance.

It’s time to reminisce the popular theme songs from classic Malay films and music by acclaimed composer, arranger and musician Wandly Yazid. The one-hour concert will feature excerpts from well-loved films including Gurindam Jiwa and clips on Wandly Yazid’s music journey.

A 70-strong Angklung orchestra comprising school students and retired teachers will perform alongside award-winning Angklung maestro Faridah H A Jamal and principal pianist Saedah Samat-Alkaff, with performances by R Ismail, Julie Sudiro and more. Directed by emerging music phenom Syafiqah ‘Adha Sallehin

Silver Shorts @ GV Suntec

Silver Films presents a selection of heartwarming films on living life to the fullest and holding ourloved ones close to us.

Singapore Silver Shorts includes two new commissions – Love in a Convenience Store by Png Zhen Yuand, New Bike by Kannan Vijayakumar – that will make their world premiere at the festival. You will also get to watch Eric Khoo’s Cinema, Ng Xinmin’s Longevity Peach and Ellie Ngim’s Run, Chicken, Run, a total of five shorts in one screening.

Approximate runtime is 90 mins.
